The 12th Power Electronics and Drive Systems conference, (PEDS2017) was held on December.12~December.15, in Hawaii Convention Center, Hawaii, America. Dr. Isobe and his three students went to Hawaii and attended the conference.
PEDS is an international conference which focusing on next generation power semiconductors (SiC・GaN), the design of passive components (e.g. inductor), solar power system and motor driver, ect…
future work. Besides, the conference banquet was held in Paradise Cove, which takes almost one-hour from the Hawaii convention center by bus. It was a great time in Paradise Cove, and the Hawaii traditional games, dance and Hawaii cuisine were unforgettable experience.
Except the conference program, the Dr. Isobe took his three students to visit the famous Pearl Harbor and plenty of local benches. In addition, they Also enjoyed the delicious American dishes in different restaurants, for example, the steak and seafood.
However, the most impressive experience is the snorkeling in Hanauma bay, as the sea turtles and fishes can be seen closely in the sea.
During this PEDS conference, the three master students got valuable experience and
also learnt a lot.
