Postdoctoral research funded by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and conducting in the Power Electronics Laboratory at University of Tsukuba, Japan.

The purpose of the proposed research is to quantify the impact on efficiency and power density Pareto-frontier of a power conversion system, when new semiconductor technologies/materials are used, like silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaNi), on the state of the art topologies in automotive electric conversion systems and renewable energy systems where power converters and solid state transformers are used.

Department of Electrical Power Engineering, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway.

PhD project funded by the Norwegian Research Centre for Offshore Wind Technology (NOWITECH). The developing of a

multi-domain design methodology to optimize the power density and efficiency of the wind energy conversion system in offshore wind farms was done as part of this project.
